feng shui

Remember I did mention the fengshui of this cottage is not that wonderful? Well here it is:
The entrance to the the cottage faces the rubbish dump! The aroma from this big green tin can sometimes drift into our rooms.... hmm...
The balcony opens into the laundry line! Golly!
Every so often we are greeted by the colours of different national flags.
These two combination I believe blocks the flow of qi... bugger.

Somewhere over the rainbow

Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high
There's a land that I heard of
Once in a lullaby

Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true

Some day I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where troubles melt like lemondrops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me

Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow
Why then, oh why can't I?

Special thanks to wenjing, agnes, joyce and andre for the surprise celebration
It was truely memorable. : )

I feel like a tourist in Brissy

without the classes, the stress and exams, I feel like a tourist in Brisbane.
Day one of the tour brings me to West End market.
West end marker reminds me of London's Camden town market with the mix of eccentric wares and colourful vendors. There are fabulous vegetables, organic foods, plants, flowers, bric-a-brac, and buskers.

Mr Hungarian chef and our Lepeny

me and agnes enjoying our curry puffs.

It's Party time!

With the papers all done in 3 days, the books are out and the party is in!
All of us cramp into a cozy little cafe and and a crazy bbq dinner and booze all night long.
Everything is kinda blurry after the wine and beer...

Come on Maggies!

Tough luck on the boys. Have not won a single game this year. Things are pretty rough for them.
The club gave them a choice to relegate to a lower division, but they unanimously decided to stick it through. Good on ya boys!
I have followed them close to 4 months now and look forward to their training and games. Really fun treating them and feel like I am really part of the team.
Morale booster after a match, this one was in Mt Gravatt, about 10 min drive away.
One of the fellas, rocca... all damn big size lads.
